About

In Fall 2002, Jania and Yolanda met on the beautiful campus of Winston-Salem State University as biology majors. Who knew that years later they would reconnect through their passion for entrepreneurship and seeing other women succeed! What started with them sharing helpful business resources with one another during a brief conversation in 2013, blossomed into what is now Women Entrepreneurs 2.0!

According to a report by the Center for Women’s Business Research, Hispanic and African American women are the fastest growing entrepreneurial segments in the country growing at rates of 133.3% and 191.4% respectively from 1997 to 2007. Combined they represent more than two million of the roughly eight million women-owned businesses in the country and more than $14 billion in gross receipts. For most minority women, the problem isn’t entrepreneurial appetite; it’s sufficient financial and social capital resources. Jania and Yolanda wanted to help facilitate change in this area through Women Entrepreneurs 2.0, a program developed and supported by nonprofit organization, PC Group365!
